Sabena Engineering welcomes Andera Partners alongside SFPIM to support a new phase of development

Brussels, 22 September 2026 – Sabena Engineering continues its international expansion and is strengthening the resources required to accelerate its growth. To support its industrial and commercial ambitions in serving both civil and military customers, the company announces the entry of Andera Partners into the share capital of its controlling shareholder, Sabena Aerospace Holding, alongside SFPIM, the Belgian sovereign wealth fund, which is reaffirming its confidence in the company’s development strategy.

This evolution in the shareholding structure of Sabena Aerospace Holding is intended to support a new phase of growth for Sabena Engineering. It will enable the company to pursue its geographic expansion, strengthen its industrial capabilities, and accelerate the development of high value-added services. Key priorities include the digitalisation of maintenance operations and the deployment of advanced data management solutions incorporating the latest artificial intelligence technologies, enabling the company to deliver increasingly efficient, responsive, and secure services to its customers.

Originating from the technical division of Belgium’s former national airline Sabena, Sabena Engineering has established itself over the decades as a leading international provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. Operating from its historic bases in Brussels and Charleroi, as well as through more than fifteen locations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, the company supports airlines, government operators, and air forces in their most demanding missions.

In this context, Andera Partners joins Sabena Aerospace Holding, the holding company created by Stéphane Burton during the 2014 management buy-out, alongside the management team and SFPIM. Drawing on its extensive experience in supporting industrial companies through growth, international expansion, and strategic acquisitions, Andera will bring complementary expertise to support Sabena Engineering’s long-term ambitions.

This development also reflects the increasingly distinct trajectories of the businesses that were previously brought together within Orizio Group. Sabena Engineering will continue its growth journey within a new shareholder structure, supported by dedicated resources aimed at accelerating its development and strengthening its international footprint. At the same time, Orizio Group will focus on the development of its Composites and Actuation Systems activities, the management of its real estate portfolio, and the continued transformation of SABCA to ensure a sustainable future for all of its operations. Both companies will therefore continue to evolve according to strategies tailored to their respective markets while building on their rich Belgian industrial and aerospace heritage.

For customers, partners, and employees, this development is driven by a commitment to continuity and reinforcement. Sabena Engineering’s activities, teams, facilities, certifications, and operational structure remain unchanged. The company will, however, benefit from additional resources to continue investing, develop talent, and strengthen its proximity to customers worldwide.

With the combined support of SFPIM and Andera Partners, Sabena Engineering intends to accelerate its growth through both organic expansion and targeted acquisitions, broaden its service offering, strengthen its international presence, and consolidate its position among Europe’s leading independent aerospace maintenance providers.
